The game that is demonstrated here is commonly known as Mancala but is also referred to as Kalah and Oware. Versions of this game can be found in at least 60 countries. The exact origins of the game are unknown but many believe that it originated in central Africa and is sometimes referred to as African chess. Similar to chess, it is best learnt by demonstration rather than using a rule book.
